For over 30 years, Waterloo Wine Co. have supplied London restaurants and wholesalers from their warehouse and

showroom in the appropriately named Vine Yard in Borough, London's historic wine trade area. They were keen to push

their retail trade from their shop in Lant Street, so we were asked to look at a much needed rebrand.

 

South of the border

 

South London wine merchants Waterloo Wine Co.

had evolved to the point where they needed a new look

for their brand. As an independent merchant they are agents

and importers for a number of established, family-owned

producers and many exclusive to them. They wanted a distinctive, fresh looking brand image to stimulate interest and growth in their business. A brand for use on their website, vans, retail shop and merchandising items.

Wine is bottled poetry

 

We decided to buck the trend and not go for the ‘old

established’ look favoured by many wine merchants,

instead a bright and colourful graphic style was adopted.

Based on the key ingredients for making wine, the sun,

the grapes, the bottle and of course the glass to drink it.

The brand celebrates the enjoyment of drinking wine and

reflects the independence and craft skills of many of their

family-owned wine producing suppliers.
